"YOONITE" SNSD YoonA in Manila

I started listening to K-pop around 2009, and the first artist I listened to that got me hooked on K-pop was Girls' Generation.

Unfortunately, I was unable to watch their performance as a group a few years ago at the Philippine Arena, but I am thankful to have watched and covered the individual visits of the four members, including Tiffany, Taeyeon, Yuri, and now YoonA.
On March 1, 2024, Yoona held her first solo fan meeting event in Manila titled "YOONITE in Manila," which was held at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City.

I am very excited as this is my first time watching and seeing YoonA in person. I can say that I started to become a fan after watching her dramas, including "The K2," "Big Mouth," and "King of the Land."

This is my first time covering a Korean Fan Meeting event at the SMX Convention Center, as most of the venues are at the Mall of Asia Arena, Araneta Coliseum, or New Frontier Theater.

We registered as media, got our media ID, and hung out at IKEA before the show started.

The South Korean star did not disappoint her fans, as she made sure to entertain the attendees by answering the questions, joining the activities, and also serenading the fans with her songs.

She even tried eating a mango and the local delicacy, bagoong.

Yoona performed "Paano" by Zack Tabudlo and also danced to Sarah Geronimo's "Dati Dati" with a fan.

I covered the event with Kenneth, my writer for Concerts in Town PH, Bry and Eljay from HallyuLife, and Gia Allana.
