Thank you for visiting Richard Esguerra's blog. I admit that I am not an expert about blogging and writing.
I am Richard Esguerra, a former sports photographer for ABS-CBN Sports (2011-2023), and I have previously worked and contributed with other media outlets including Tiebreaker Times, Asean Sports, Rappler, Spin.PH and Business World.
Currently, I am busy doing freelance photography work and handling the music site for Concerts in Town PH in covering the local music events from concerts to music festivals. I also take photos from time to time for ABS-CBN News, KdramaDiary.com, HelloKpop, Manila Concert Junkies and Philippine Concerts.
As a photographer, I started taking photos as a hobby and covering different events way back 2008 and eventually I was given the opportunity last 2011 to cover UAAP games for UAAP Sports TV then by around 2014 UAAP Sports TV became ABS-CBN Sports and we started covering all of the sporting events in the country.
I am very blessed and lucky to cover almost all of the best sporting events in the country which inlxudes the PBA, UAAP, NCAA, PBA D-League, MPBL, Sea Games 2019, Chooks to Go 3x3, FIVB, AVC, PSL, PVL, IPTL, ONE FC, UFC, URCC, NBA, FIBA World Cup 2023, MPL Philippines, and more.
I also cover K-pop concerts and was able to cover several artist including 4Minute, IU, Twice, Blackpink, NCT 127, BTS, EXO, WekiMeki, Red Velvet, Momoland, ITZY, Lovelyz, GFriend, Minzy, Hyolyn, TWICE, NCT Dream, Jessi, STAYC, BoA, TVXQ, AKMU, EVERGLOW, Taeyeon, Tiffany Young, Yuri, APink, Kim SeJeong, Ahn Hyo Seop, Ok Taecyeon, Sandara Park, BamBam and more.
Personally, I am into collecting comics, HotToys,Anime figures, Funko Pops, Collectible cards, selected K-pop merchandise and artworks.
I created this blog just to share some of my personal adventures in life with my family and friends and also my life and coverage as a photographer.
