My final hallyu event to attend this year is the fan meet of Penshoppe's global ambassador, Chanyeol.
The Mall of Asia Arena was packed with excited fans eager to see the EXO members in person. The event was held on Saturday, December 16.
Traffic was heavy everywhere, and unfortunately, I missed the press conference event at Conrad because I arrived in Manila around 6:30 PM. My travel time today is 4 1/2 hours, which normally takes just 1 1/2 hours at most.
I am grateful that I arrived before the fan meet event and was happy to see fellow media members who also attended.
The show started at 7 p.m., and we are seated in the Lower Box area with a good view of the stage. Unfortunately, the media is not allowed to take photos of the event, but we can use our phones.
Host Kring Kim kicked off the show with a Q&A segment, during which Chanyeol answered questions from fans and shared his experiences in the Philippines.
Chanyeol performed
"Nothin'," "SSFW," "Tomorrow," "Rodeo
Station," and "Good
Enough," bringing energy to the venue and
delighting the fans.
Another highlight of the event was when Chanyeol showcased his artistic talent by customizing three T-shirts and giving them to three lucky fans through a raffle.
A surprise video with touching messages from Chanyeol's fans was shown to him. To wrap up the show, he expressed his gratitude to the Filipino fans and promised to come back again.
We would like to express our gratitude to Penshoppe for inviting us to the event and for the complimentary items they provided.
Due to traffic, we decided to pass the time at Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf Conrad until 11 PM.
Looking forward to more Hallyu events next year and for Penshoppe to introduce more ambassadors as well.
