Be You 3: The World Will Smile featuring APink, CIX, HUTA, Nam Woo-hyun and OPM artist

Be You 3: The World Will Smile is the third installment of the 'Be You' concert series by Neuwave Events and Productions. This time, the event is headlined by K-pop artists APink, CIX, Nam Woo-hyun (Infinite), and Lee Min-hyuk (BTOB). The concert was held at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on July 23, 2023.

The event also features Filipino artists Ice Seguerra, NOBITA, Jhong Hilario and Vhong Navarro.

Be You 3 is also a tribute to the members of the Left Clip and Palette community.

I arrived at the venue around 4:30 PM because we were advised that there would be a press conference starting at 5:15 PM.

Here are the photos from the press conference.

CONCERT

The press conference ended around 6:30 PM, and I also bumped into my good friend Ian, who was attending the event as a photographer for another media outlet. We had a quick snack before covering the concert.

The concert started at exactly 7 PM with dance performances by Vhong Navarro and Jhong Hilario, along with the kids.

They also danced to SB19's hit "Gento."

Singer-songwriter and actor Ice Seguerra performed his rendition of "I'll Be There" and "With a Smile" alongside two talented singers and children from the Left Clip and Palette community.

NOBITA, a rising Filipino band, graced the stage and performed "Ikaw Lang" and their rendition of "Awit ng Kabataan," which prompted the crowd to sing along with them.

Nam Woo-hyun (Infinite)

The cheers from the audience started to get louder when the performances from the K-pop artists began.

First to perform is Infinite member Nam Woo-hyun, who recently visited the Philippines in May 2023 to perform at the Miss Universe Philippines 2023 event.

He performed the songs "Hold On Me," "Calm and Passion," "My Diary," "Lonely Night," and "Shooting Star."

Nam Woo-hyun also shared with the fans the comeback of his group, Infinite.

CIX

South Korean boy group CIX made their Manila debut at Be You 3 Manila.

The 5-member group let the fans feel their energy as they performed "Save Me," "Kill Me," "Lost," "Movie Star," "Cinema," and "Color.

Lee Minhyuk / HUTA (BTOB)

BTOB rapper Lee Minhyuk, also known as HUTA, was shocked to hear the support from his fans.

The actor and singer-songwriter performed "Dear My Spring," "I'm Rare," "Tonight," and "BOOM," prompting the audience to sing along with him.

APink

I asked my friend Abby from Hellokpop for a pass to see APink. I can say that I really love their music and have been buying their albums even before TWICE.

In 2016, APink was one of the first K-pop groups that I covered in the MTV Music Evolution event, and back then, Naeun was still a member of the group.

The venue erupted when Apink graced the stage and started performing their hit songs, including "NoNoNo," "I'm So Sick," and "Dumhdurum."

It was really nostalgic when they performed "Mr. Chu," which is one of my all-time favorite K-pop songs.

Overall, it was a fun night, and I had the privilege of covering the event from the very front row, making the experience truly amazing.

Big thanks to HelloKpop for trusting me with their photos and also to Neuwave Events and Productions for making Be You 3 possible. Also met Isabelle Oli-Prats before the event.
