PVL Reinforced Conference 2022: PLDT vs Army and Akari vs Cignal

The opening of the 2022 PVL Reinforced Conference was held at Santa Rosa Complex in Laguna which is very near my house. I also got my media ID for this conference under ABS-CBN Sports.

Antigen testing is being made before entering the venue to cover and should get a negative result. Thankfully, my result is negative. 

First Game: PLDT High Speed Hitters vs United Auctioneers Inc. Army

The first game started with a five-setter match between the PLDT High Speed Hitters and United Auctioneers Inc. Army as PLDT gets it's first win in the conference 17-25, 25-20, 24-26, 25-11, 15-11.

PLDT guest player Elena Samoilenko led the team with 35 points on 32 attacks, two blocks and one service ace.

For the local players, Toni Basas chipped in with 11 points while Mika Reyes, Dell Palomata and Fiola Ceballos contributed 10 markers each for PLDT.

Meanwhile, import Laura Condotta and Royce Tubino finished the game with 17 points each and Jovelyn Gonzaga chipped in eight points for Army.

Second Game: Cignal vs Akari

"Team Awesome" Cignal HD Spikers welcomed the new team Akari Power Chargers in a harsh way by defeating them in their debut, 20-25, 25-23, 25-18, 25-16.

Cignal import Tai Bierria finished with 20 markers, Rose Doria chipped in 13 points while Glaudine Troncoso added 12 points.

Prisilla Rivera led Akari with 20 points and Erika Raagas contributed 16 points.

Looking forward for the next PVL games to cover and also for the games here in Santa Rosa, Laguna.
