Thankful for my 40 years of life.

Happy Birthday to Me.

Last year, I had planned to celebrate my 40th birthday abroad, but unfortunately, due to budget and schedule conflicts, that option wasn’t feasible.

I decided to treat myself to a meal at my favorite restaurant and buy a new pair of sneakers, but because of my son’s school schedule, we were unable to leave town.

I am not sad, as things are beyond my control. So, we decided to have a simple family gathering and dinner at the nearest mall, which is SM City Santa Rosa.

It was great that my brother, his fiancée, Tin, and my mom were also available to join us that day for dinner at Sumo Niku.

The food was amazing, as this was our first time dining at Sumo Niku. The staff were also attentive and quick.

We also gifted my mom a new phone and a new pair of eyeglasses, which made her very happy.

Afterward, we went to Starbucks to rest and chat for a couple of hours before heading home.

OCTOBER 10

On the next day, Jerrick went to school, and around lunchtime, we went to the Paseo Santa Rosa area as my wife surprised me with a relaxation package at Shui Headspa.

I had seen this spa a few months before and finally experienced their treatment. We enjoyed the steam bath, signature head spa, and full-body massage.

* Unfortunately, I was unable to take photos at the spa and decided to enjoy the day instead

Life is truly a blessing, and in my 40 years of existence, there are many things for which I am thankful. At the same time, I have many regrets about my past decisions.

I think I have lived my life at the fullest but if I could turn back time, I wish I could have saved more and bought less things that I do not need. I also learned that spending more time with your loved ones are the best things in life.

I would like to thank my wife for making my day special, as well as my son and family. Although the original plan was changed, I am still happy with how I spent my birthday with my loved ones. I would also like to thank God for another year of life and all of the blessings.
