Although it's tiring, I do enjoy music festival events from Karpos Multimedia, which is also the creator of the annual Wanderland Music Festival. This time, they brought the inaugural ASIYA Music Festival & Conference to the Philippines. It will be a two-day event from October 13 to 14, 2024, at the World Trade Center Pasay, Manila.
I am thankful to Karpos Multimedia for giving our outlet a media pass and one GA weekend to cover the event.
When the event was announced on the social media accounts of ASIYA Fest and Karpos Multimedia, I got excited and wanted to attend the event because of the artist lineup featuring BINI, Urbandub, UDD, Juan Karlos, and more.
DAY 1
After my work, which ended around 12 noon, I rested a bit and then went to the venue to cover the event. I arrived around 3:30 p.m. and was able to claim my media pass.
I was very happy to bump into friends who attended the event to watch and friends from the media who would cover the event for two days.
Unfortunately, I missed the performances from the first two artist which is Gabba from the Philippines and Numcha from Thailand.
REESE LANSANGAN π΅π
I was finally able to watch Reese Lansangan live, and I thoroughly enjoyed her music, especially her song "Home."
She also had a meet-and-greet with her fans after her performance. She was very kind, and when she learned that I am a photographer, she followed me on my Instagram account.
BABYCHAIR π²πΎ
FLU π΅π
The band performed "I'll Be Mine" with Thai singer Numcha.
IMASE π―π΅
This is my first time watching imase live, and I enjoyed the live version of his famous song, "NIGHT DANCER."
UDD with ZOYA π΅π
One of my favorite Filipino bands, and I am glad to finally watch them live again, but this time without Armi Millare. It's nice to see their new style and musical approach. They also performed "Luna."
COLDE π°π·
URBANDUB π΅π
The band that I will never tire of watching, as I have truly loved their songs ever since I saw them in 2006 during the SONICBOOM gigs.
HYUKOH π°π· & SUNSET ROLLERCOASTER πΉπΌ
The headliner for Day 1, worth the wait, played their best hits, including "Glue," "Young Man," and "Ya!"
It was fun covering the first day of the ASIYA Fest 2024. I was able to arrive home around 12 midnight.
DAY 2
Since BINI will be performing on the second day of the ASIYA Fest, I anticipate a large crowd attending the last day. The show started at 4 p.m., and when I arrived, the stage area was already packed with people, far more than on the first day.
For day 2, we mostly stayed in the VIP deck and decided to shoot from there, as it was very crowded near the stage.
YSANYGO π΅π
My second time watching the talented siblings. I enjoyed their songs, catchy tunes, and lyrics.
9M88 πΉπΌ
JOSE MIGUEL π΅π
My second time watching JosΓ© Miguel; the first was at Wanderland Music Festival 2024. His jazz music and stage presence brought energy to the venue.
SALASA π―π΅
ZILD π΅π
It is really entertaining watching former IV of Spades member Zild. It is nice to see him interact with the crowd and show his best. He performed his hit songs "Kyusi," "Lia," and "Dekada '70."
SHYE πΈπ¬
JUAN KARLOS π΅π
Another amazing set from Juan Karlos, and the audience also sang along with him when he performed his hit songs, "Ere" and "Buwan."
BALMING TIGER π°π·
I was unable to watch their performance during the first day of Wanderland 2023, but their performance at ASIYA Fest was incredible. The fans danced enthusiastically as they performed on stage.
BINI π΅π
The moment that everyone is waiting for is the appearance of the P-pop Queens, BINI.
The eight-member group performed "Cherry on Top," "Salamin, Salamin," "Karera," and "Pantropiko," which delighted the crowd.
This is my second time watching them live this year. It is really hard to watch them these days because of the hype and their fame.
The day ended around 11:30 p.m., and I am happy and tired after the two-day coverage of the event.
Overall, it was an unforgettable and amazing experience at an indoor music festival. The vibe is similar to the Wanderland Music Festival, but it differs in that it is not hot because the venue is air-conditioned. There is also a large Johnny Walker bar for drinks and a few food stalls.
It was nice bonding friends from the media who covered the event for two days.
I also met some of the performers and artists who were present at the event, including Ysanygo, Paul Yap of UDD, Ena Mori, and Emmie Villegas and Pauline Escores of Carousel Casualties.
I would like to thank Karpos Multimedia for making us part of the event.
