Savoring the Sounds and Delights of Zark's Fest 2023: A Fusion of Food and Music that Leaves Taste Buds and Eardrums Dancing!

I contacted Zark's via social media a few months ago to inquire about obtaining a media pass for the Zark's Fest 2023 event, which happened on May 14 at the Circuit Events Ground in Makati City. Thankfully, Zark's replied and I was able to secure a media pass for the said event.

This is my second music festival of the year, and it also marks the return of Zark's Fest after a three-year hiatus caused by the pandemic.

I have heard that fans arrived at the venue as early as 11 AM, even though the event did not start until 1 PM.
It was a hot and sunny day, and I arrived at around 3:30 PM. I was provided a media ID, all-access wrist band and a food stub.

My coverage this time is better. My friends Rinna, Angelo, and JD also covered the event.

Zark's Fest featured a star-studded lineup of artists, with Ben&Ben and Zack Tabudlo headlining the event.

BEN&BEN

It was my first time watching Ben&Ben perform live, and their music is truly amazing. They sang "Di Ka Sayang," Kathang Isip," "Araw Araw," and "Pagtingin."

ZACK TABUDLO

The fans screamed their hearts out when the hit maker performed "Binibini," "Paano," and "Nangangamba."

Zack serenaded a fan on stage with his song "Yakap."

OPM icons Ebe Dancel, Itchyworms, Urbandub, and Sandwich also electrified the stage. It has been over 10 years since I last saw them perform live.

EBE DANCEL

Still one of the best Filipino performers in the industry. It was a nostalgic feeling when he played the songs "Tulog Na," "Hari ng Sablay," and "Burnout."

SANDWICH

Known for their infectious melodies, catchy hooks, and introspective lyrics, Sandwich delivered another electrifying performance at Zark's Fest.

URBANDUB

I became an instant fan after watching them in the mid-2000s, and since then, I have been attending their gigs whenevertime permits. It was truly amazing to see and hear Urbandub perform live again.

The band performed "The Fight is Over," , "Soul Searching," "First of Summer," and "Guillotine."

BINI

The music festival wouldn't be complete without P-pop's 'Nation's Girl Group' BINI, who made the fans scream with their performance.

KIYO

Emerging as a prominent figure in the local industry, Kiyo captivated the fans with his soulful voice and heartfelt lyrics.

The other artists, Autotelic, Hey June, Eli and Six The North Star, Lola Amour, and Any Name's Okay, delivered amazing performances.

In addition to the on-stage performances, the venue offers a wide variety of food choices and merchandise. There is also food eating contest, featuring Kevin 'Zarkman' Media, a Guinness World Record-holder who demonstrates how to finish a Zark's Jawbreaker in less than five minutes.

The event ended at midnight, and kudos to Zark's Fest for organizing the event and following the schedule of artist performances.

I also met some of the artists, including all the members of BINI, Urbandub, Kiyo, and Ebe Dancel.

Also had these photos signed by BINI members.

I am super happy that some artists noticed my photos and shared them on social media.

My article about the event was also featured on the ABS-CBN News website
