GAME 2

Ateneo denied UP in winning the championship and lives another day as they forces a do-or-die game on December 19, Monday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum. Finals score is 65-55.

Angelo Kouame led Ateno with 19 points,  11 rebounds, 3 blocks and 3 steals while Kai Ballugay was also a big factor for the win adding 15 points after being scoreless in the first game. Forth Padrigao also chipped in 11 points and 7 rebounds.

Meanwhile, Carl Tamayo top scored the Maroons with 15 points, JD Cagulangan with 11 and Terrence Fortea with 9 points.

Meanwhile, UP struggled as Ateneo has adjusted well with their defense against Carl Tamayo and MVP Malick Diouf. Then Zavier Lucero got injured at the 8:31 mark of the last period and never returned to the court finishing the game with 6 points and 11 rebounds.

The game was really intense and physical making the game more interesting and exciting. The players really wanted to win and I am very excited for the outcome on Monday on who will bag the championship.

Former Ateneo Blue Eagles Nieto brothers, Gian Mamuyac and Anton Assistio watched the game and supported their alma matter.

The game ended around 9 PM and I got home around 12:30 AM as me and my fellow photographers Marlo and Russel had a quick stop in Wendy's Boni as we are so tired and starving.
