Be You 2: The World Will Care

K-pop concerts are really back and this time was able to attend and cover Be You 2 in Manila which happened on December 9, Saturday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

The 2-day event which started on December 8 at Cebu City and the second day is here in Manila. The event is also a tribute to the elderly and teach the youth on how should we treat and respect the elderly people.

The concert is headlined by South Korean stars BoA, TVXQ and EXO's Chen and Xiumin. Local artist including Ian VeneracionG22Lady Pipay and Pilita Corrales.

Media registration started from 1 PM to 4 PM and passing the anti-gen test is also required to be able to complete the registration and get the media ID. Good thing I passed and was cleared to cover the event.

The presscon happened around 4:30 PM for selected media outlets only. We were able to go inside the venue and were allowed to shoot anywhere. Also met new friends from other K-pop media site and saw familiar faces who always cover Korean events. Also saw one of my friend Xandra who is a big fan of BoA for a long time.

CONCERT

The show started around 6 PM from the "Asia's Queen of Songs"  Ms. Pilita Corrales. At 85 years, she is still performed very well serenading the crowd with her hits and also making jokes that made the audience laugh.

Filipino actor Ian Veneracion serenaded the crowd and also joined Ms. Pilita Corrales on stage with the elder people.

Filipino girl group G22 then dominated the stage with their vocals and dance moves.

G22 is consist of four members: Bianca, AJ, Jaz and Alfea.

Last Pinoy act is from YouTube star Lady Pipay.

She also danced, sing and also showcased her talent in aerial silks.

K-POP

Fans started screaming after EXO's Xiumin appeared on the stage.

The EXO fans raised their light stick while cheering for Xiumin.

The next performance is also from another EXO member Chen.

As for Chen's last song, he performed Everywhere which is also one of the soundtrack of the hit K-drama Descendants of the Sun.

Next is from the Pop duo TVXQ. Members U-know Yunho and Max Changmin.

The duo showed the Filipino fans that they are one of the best and is still active in the industry since 2003.

Lastly is from one of the most successful South Korean artist BoA, she is also dubbed as "The Queen of K-pop" being active since year 2000.

This is also BoA's first visit in the Philippines and she mentioned that she thinks that she was late in visiting our country. The fans started chanting Gwanchanh-ayo meaning "It's okay" which amazed BoA that Filipinos knows the Korean language.

The five South Korean stars appearer again on-stage to say thank you and goodbye to the fans.

It was a fun night of music from Filipino and South Korean artists. Big thanks again to Neuwave Events and Productions. Also to Kdramadiary.com for always getting me as their photographer and trusting me in capturing the best moments of the event.

Luckily bumped with Isabel Oli in the concert as his husband John Prats is the director of the concert. Also met G22 members Aya and Alfea after the concert.
