History Channel: History Con Manila 2018

 History Channel's event HISTORYCON is back in Manila at the World Trade Center in Pasay City from August 10 to 12, 2018.

This is my first time attending Historycon and this is their third event in the country. I honestly attended the event as Katherine Winnick from the TV show Vikings is one of the guest.

What to see in Historycon?

The stars from the shows from shows like Ancient Aliens, Vikings, Celebrity Car Wars and more graced the event to meet the fans in the Philippines. For this year the line up are Giorgio A. Tsoukalos of Ancient Aliens, Katherine Winnick of Vikings, Mongchin Yeoh of Who Runs the World, Jamie Dempsey of Ride N'Seek, and Simon Yin of HISTORY Hustle and Hidden Cities Extreme. 

Local celebrities Xian Lim and Diego Loyzaga will also join the event as they also in the show Celebrity Car Wars.

Ticket Prices:

350php - General Admission (One-day convention pass)

2,500php - HISTORY MAKER Pass (3-day convention pass)

10,000php - HISTORY MAKER VIP Pass (Limited to 100 tickets)

I was able to enter the convention for free thanks to my friend Max and enjoyed the convention.

There's a lot to see and enjoy inside the convention and mostly since it's about History, most items featured are old and vintage things from toys, camera, appliances, money and more.

TOYS

Also on display are statues from Maxicollector

ANTIQUES

A lot of vintage items collections are on display and some are for sale. I was able to buy classic Kick Fighter and Funny Komiks in the event.

There is also an area dedicated for Philippine war history and saw this boots worn and owned by Emilio Aguinaldo.

Entertainment

Historycon also has an area that features local wrestling and MMA, unfortunately I wasn't able to watch the matches as it was held in the later part of the day.

Ride N'Seek

Jamie Dempsey appeared in the convention to greet the fans in the area for bikes and motorcycles.

Different bikes are also on display from vintage to new models.

Was able to see some of the models that I know who are in the booths.

Who Runs The World

I then saw Singaporean influencer Mongchin Yeoh walking around the area and doing some vlogging.

She also had a meet and greet in the afternoon.

Cosplay Event

There is also a cosplay competition in the event where Katherine Winnick will be judging. Also saw a friend from the cosplay community Aya Esmeria.

Very lucky to have a selfie with Queen Lagertha.

We walked around and the also saw actress Kristine Hermosa in with her family.

It was a fun day though I only stayed in the event for a few hours and wasn't able to meet and see the other guest, meeting Katherine Winnick is already enough as I am a fan of the show Vikings.

Big thanks for the pass from Barber Di Gianni who also gives a free haircut for every pomade purchase. I bought one pomade and it really smells good.

Looking forward for the Historycon next year.
