Jazz super rookie and 2018 NBA Slam Dunk Champion, Donovan Mitchell is in the country for Adidas and performing his duties as the brand's Global Ambassador to reach the Filipino fans.
Also known as "Spida" because of his long arms, Mitchell started his tour in Manila by visiting the Adidas store in BGC to meet the people from the media as he was joined by local Adidas ambassadors for a panel interview.
The fans waited outside the Adidas BGC store to see Donovan Mitchell.
I also arrived early to get a good spot and registered in the entrance as part of the media.
Mitchell was joined by Adidas local ambassadors Chris Tiu, Bright Akhuetie and Kobe Paras.
Donovan did answer the questions from the press and how happy he is to be in the Philippines.
After the presscon is his meet and greet with the fans in the Adidas BGC branch.
The next event is in the afternoon in a basketball ball in Pasay City where Donovan Mitchell spent time with selected youth ballers teaching them the basics in basketball like dribbling.
The event was hosted by Michelle Gumabao and DJ Slick Rick.
He also participated in a friendly three-point shooting contest with local brand ambassadors Rey Nambatac, Renzo Subido, Jun Manzo and JJ Alejandro.
Kobe Paras also entertained the crowd by doing several dunks to end the event. He was also joined by Alex Mallari.
