FIBA World Cup Asian Qualifiers: Philippines vs Iran

The Philippines tasted another defeat in their second home game in Manila and this time against the mighty Iran team in the FIBA World Cup 2019 Asian Qualfiers.

Iran defeats the Philippines, 78-70 with a come from behind win as Iran made 15-2 run to catch up with Gilas and win the game without their top players Hamed Haddadi and Samad Nikkhah Bahrami.

Jamshidi Jafarabadi iso on fire in the last quarter scoring 16 of his 26 points to lead Iran.

For the Philippines it was Jayson Castro who top scored the Filipinos with 19 points, Standhardinger with 17 and Marcio Lassiter with 12.

Gilas Pilipinas fell to 4th place with a 5-5 record in Group F.
