Season of GFriend in Manila

South Korean girl group GFriend is back in Manila for the third time but this will be the group’s first solo concert called ‘Season of GFriend’ at the KIA Theatre.

The group first visited the country last 2016 where they performed at Solaire and went back last year for the ‘K-pop Republic’ event where they performed with Cosmic Girls and NCT127.

The concert was originally set last August 19 but was moved to August 26 because of the incident that happened in the NAIA airport but still the event is still jam packed with Filipino fans.

The day started with the red carpet event for VVIP ticket holders where the group was introduced to the fans and answered few questions from the media. It was followed by the sound check event also at Novotel.

GFriend is consist of six-members: Sowon, Yerin, Eunha, Yuju, SinB, and Umji.

The fans are really happy to see the group when they showed up in the red carpet.

The concert started at 7 PM but fans waited hours to get inside the venue with their banners and light sticks to show support and love to GFriend.

The 3-hour concert is all worth it as GFriend sings all of it’s best songs plus solo performance to the delight of the fans.

GFriend Philippines also showed the group a compilation of GFriend’s videos that shows when they are still starting, struggles and road to success. The group was touched with the surprise.

GFriend members said that they will be back soon and is very thankful for the love that Filipino fans is showing to them despite the difference of the nationality.
